What is An Ambassador?
Mission Statement: We represent Chamber members to encourage and support the growth of McLean County business. What We Do: We promote and support the mission of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce as the “Business Center of Influence ” to our members, our business leaders, our government officials, and our county. We are active listeners, participants, and business advocates. Most importantly, we are the conduit of influence providing feedback to Chamber staff and knowledge to our members. Why We Do: We do because we care: we care about people, our local economy, and our community at large. Core Functions: · To provide information to our members and potential members · To aid in the retention of existing members through intentional quarterly member contacts · To aid in the recruitment of new members by educating, encouraging, and welcoming them Core Activities: · Hosting of all Chamber networking events · Facilitation of networking · Promotion of Chamber events · Facilitation of ribbon cutting, groundbreaking, and open house programs hosted by our members · Welcoming new members to the business community and the Chamber of Commerce · Inviting feedback from members and sharing feedback to Chamber staff · Educating members about the current programs available throught the Chamber · Recruiting and educating non-members about the importance of membership and the opportunities and activities that Chamber membership offers |
