AMBASSADOR POSITION DESCRIPTION Mission Statement: We represent Chamber members to encourage and support the growth of McLean County business.
Requisites: · Employee of a Chamber member in good standing · High level of motivation · Strong interpersonal skills · High level of professionalism · Positive attitude · Working knowledge of programs and services offered by the McLean County Chamber of Commerce
Desired Qualities: · Enthusiasm · Flexibility with your work and/or personal schedule · Strong sense of commitment · Strong interest in promoting the business community of McLean County · Team Player outlook
Responsibilities: · Represent the Chamber in a professional, positive manner · Contact assigned members at least twice per year and report to staff liaison · Facilitate networking at Chamber events · Deliver welcome packets to assigned new members · Provide information to members or direct them to the appropriate staff person · Communicate member feedback to Chamber staff · Attend Ambassador meetings a minimum of six times per year (The 1st Wednesday of each month at noon) · Attend a minimum of 2 ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, or open houses every 8 weeks · Attend a minimum of 3 Business Before Hours, Business After Hours, or POWER Lunch events every quarter · Recruit a minimum of 1 new member per quarter Responsibilities (con’t): · Maintain the required minimum of points per as outlined in the Ambassador Point System *Failure to meet the minimum participation and point requirements may result in dismissal from Ambassador duties.
Recognition and Benefits: · Recognition for yourself and your company on the Ambassador page of the Chamber website · Recognition at the annual Premier Luncheon · Increased access to business owners/ leaders through a variety of events · Free admission to all Business After Hours and POWER Lunch events · Monthly, quarterly, and annual achievement awards and opportunity to attend monthly Chamber Board meetings
