Central Illinois Businessman Elected to Illinois Chamber of Commerce Board

SPRINGFIELD – August 5, 2015 – The Illinois Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has voted to add Brent Eichelberger, Peoria and Bloomington-Normal, to its board. Eichelberger is Regional President of Commerce Bank in Central Illinois, with operations in Peoria, Bloomington-Normal and Champaign-Urbana areas.

“Brent brings 28 years of banking acumen to the Illinois Chamber’s board,” said Illinois Chamber President and CEO Todd Maisch. “Combined with his active business and community involvement in the Peoria and Bloomington-Normal areas, Brent will be an asset to the Chamber and to the Illinois business sector as a whole.”

“Commerce Bank believes the bank is only as strong as the communities they serve, and so encourages bank leaders to be involved in those communities,” said Illinois Chamber Board Chairman Matt Gambs. “This aligns well with the Illinois Chamber’s dedication to active participation throughout the state of Illinois as it works with business for business.”
