Committees
The McLean County Chamber of Commerce
utilizes several committees to meet its mission. Chamber members are
welcome to participate in any of these committees.

Agri-Business Council
Conducts the annual Ag Breakfast, McLean County
Agricultural Awards, and the Agribusiness After Hours. The committee
consists of individuals involved in agribusiness or those interested in
agriculture.
Ambassadors
Promote and support the efforts of the Chamber by
recruiting new members. They also reinforce Chamber benefits to existing
members through retention visits.
Government Affairs Committee
Supports legislation favorably impacting McLean County
businesses by identifying and monitoring key issues important to members.
This committee also chooses topics and speakers for the Business Issues &
Answers series.
Leadership
McLean County
Shapes the annual program and its activities. A
Steering Team oversees program, aided by several sub-committees,
responsible for marketing and recruitment, planning individual day
sessions, mentoring task force groups, and organizing alumni events.
Membership Committee
charged with exploring ways to promote the Chamber and
McLean County inside and outside of the county. Among its responsibilities
are the McLean County Chamber of Commerce web site and promotional
brochures.
Marketing Committee
Charged with creating and updating the Chamber's marketing plan and coming
up with new strategies to gain awareness of the Chamber in the community.
Stroker Golf Classic Committee
Plans and implements the Stroker Golf Classic,
held in July each year. The committee aids in choosing the location,
obtaining sponsorships, signing up golfers and planning the day.
Workforce Issues Committee
Investigates issues to that will assist members in
attracting, retaining and training workers. The Committee's main focus has
been on retention issues such as adequate transportation, affordable
housing and child care.
