About the Energy Alliance

The Mclean County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Gulf Plains Energy to establish the Commercial Energy Purchasing Alliance for its members.

Through our partnership with Gulf Plains Energy, we will combine all of our Chamber members into an aggregate pool to secure a much lower rate than you could receive directly from other providers. If your business has not made the switch from Ameren to a new provider, you may not be aware that you have a choice in electricity suppliers. Deregulation opened the doors for competition in Illinois and allows for you to secure a low fixed price contract, providing cost savings and budget stability for your business.

If you are under contract with another supplier, Gulf Plains Energy can offer a future start contract that will not require you to terminate your existing contract.

Other Benefits of the McLean County Chamber Commercial Energy Purchasing Alliance:

  • There is no fee to join the Alliance!

  • The program will have a dedicated program manager just for Chamber members!

  • You will receive a free energy analysis to estimate your savings with the program.

  • Increased Purchasing Power in procuring electric and natural gas at competitive rates to businesses

  • Eliminates the need to ‘go through it alone'

  • Budget Stability (no more ‘roller coaster costs’) by offering Fixed Rate energy supply

  • Cost savings when energy supply costs are lower than what is being offered by Ameren

  • Assistance in being Proactive in fulfilling energy buying needs

  • We offer the opportunity for businesses to share in the valuable energy Expertise that the cooperative provides

If you have any questions or learn more about what the program can provide for your business, please feel free to reach out to Scott Heape at the Chamber or Elizabeth Bilton with Gulf Plains Energy.
