A doula is a childbirth professional who provides emotional, physical and educational support to an expecting mother and her family. Learn to be an advocate for the mother and how to create a safe and memorable birthing experience. This workshop includes evidence-based information about the benefits of doula support, the significance of doula support to families, hands- on techniques, as well as the steps to begin a career as a birth doula. This course does not result in a certification or replaces training towards a certification through a doula organization but does provide you with training in foundational concepts and skills to become a birth doula.
