The McLean County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that it has been awarded a 5 Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. The Chamber first received a 5 Star Accreditation status in 2017. The accreditation is the highest attainable and is valid for a period of five years.

- Business and community leaders gathered on Saturday, February 17th, to commemorate the McLean County Chamber of Commerce’s 14th Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala. The sold-out Gala had 750 attendees and was held at Illinois State University’s Brown Ballroom. The event honored the achievements of Chamber member businesses in 2023 in five categories. Each winner was selected from an accomplished group of previously announced finalists. The event also honored the Legacy of Excellence Award Winner who was selected and announced in December.

Considered the most prestigious Chamber award, the Legacy of Excellence is bestowed upon an individual who, through their personal or business efforts, has made significant contributions to make McLean County a better place. David will be recognized at the McLean County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business Excellence Gala presented by Commerce Bank on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Agriculture Awards Dinner presented by GROWMARK on Thursday, November 16th at the Bloomington Country Club. The Chamber’s Agriculture Awards are administered by members of its Agribusiness Council. They are a unique opportunity to celebrate the leaders of the agriculture community in McLean County. The event would not have been possible without the support of the Chamber’s Partners in Agriculture.

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Nonprofit Showcase on Thursday, November 9, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA located at 202 Saint Joseph Drive in Bloomington, IL. The event requires no registration and is free for all community members to attend. The Nonprofit Showcase is the public’s opportunity to hear first-hand about the crucial work our local nonprofit organizations do every day here in McLean County. Hear their mission, feel their passion, and get involved! Nonprofits are looking for volunteers, partners, board members, and financial supporters.

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce announced that Cortney Helfrich, Chief Personnel Officer for Wilber Group, is the recipient of the 2023 ATHENA Leadership Award®. The award was presented to Helfrich at the Leaders of Distinction Awards program hosted by the Chamber and Pantagraph Media at the Epiphany Farms Estate in rural Downs, IL on Thursday, October 5th. It is a prestigious international award given to individuals defined as role models who inspire and encourage the empowerment of women leaders. Also recognized during the event was Megan Fitzgerald, Development Specialist at St. Jude’s Research Hospital, as the recipient of the Liz Larson Rising Leader Award and the previously announced Pantagraph Media Twenty Under Forty

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce new Advocacy event is happening this Thursday! Join us on Thursday, July 20, for Reimagining Advocacy MultiPlied (RAMP), centered around collective action and community growth. This event will replace the former "State of" Series. This event will focus on challenges and opportunities as we strive to RAMP up the local workforce. It will begin with an unveiling of the 2023 McLean County Employer Needs Survey results. The survey was conducted by the Chamber and McLean County Community COMPACT with the support of PNC Bank.

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce’s Twin Cities Showcase presented by CEFCU returned on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Illinois State University Bone Student Center in the Brown Ballroom from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Twin Cities Showcase offered a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience over 60 local businesses and organizations. The Showcase also featured the Taste of the Showcase presented by Chestnut Health Systems from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce partnered with Heartland Community College to offer a Spring Job Fair on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. located at Heartland Community College in their Community Commons Building (CCB 1406/07). A large variety of employers were there, from agriculture to technology to healthcare. The job fair was open to the entire community.

The session was located at Heartland Community College in their Community Commons Building.
