We are engaged leaders in the Bloomington-Normal community, that are focused on building our professional networks, giving back to the community, and taking on leadership roles to help move this community forward. Bloomington-Normal Young Professionals (BNYP) strive to strengthen the local and business community by providing accessible professional development resources, service projects, and networking opportunities for young professionals through the McLean County Chamber of Commerce.

Consist of members between 22 – 40 years old
Must have strong interpersonal skills
Highly motivated
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Desire to engage with other young professionals and participate in BNYP events

What are the benefits of BNYP?

Your membership dues include:

Ten lunches at our membership meetings (once a month except for July and December)
Access to all BNYP events which include meetings, socials, service projects, happy hours, and coffee hours
Food/Beverage provided at our July membership cookout
An Invitation to the After Party, an annual event.

Events

Bloomington-Normal Young Professionals provides many opportunities throughout the year for our membership to get involved with. We have a set calendar but as the year moves forward we do have changes, updates, and additions. All information about location, speaker, and topic for our membership meetings is provided about a month prior in our Weekly Wednesday Updates (WWU).

Updates to our calendar with added socials or spontaneous events are sent out to our membership through the WWU’s as well. All members are encouraged to read those emails for any changes to our Membership Calendar. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the 2025 President Chase Kusnerik.

BNYP Sponsorships

Our monthly BNYP Meetings happen because of the amazing sponsors we have that host and provide a raffle for meetings. If you are interested in hosting BNYP or providing a raffle item, please click below to find out more information and dates that are available.

Location Sponsor Provides a meeting space for BNYP

Requirements:

Provide complimentary, professional meeting space for a BNYP membership meeting
Space must be large enough to seat 55 people comfortably at tables/chairs and must be pre-set. Complimentary A/V is appreciated.
Space must have at least 2-3 others tables or an area for food to be placed and for the welcome table sign-in
Outside catering must be allowed or the opportunity to work with your caterer at a discounted price that fits within our lunch budget

Sponsor Benefits:

Logo placed in the Weekly Wednesday Update for 2-3 weeks prior to the meeting
Logo placed on meeting agenda which is printed and handed out to all members attending
Logo placed on Facebook once to promote our Meeting Location Sponsor
A representative from your company is welcome to speak to our group for up to 3 minutes at the beginning of our meeting to welcome group to the location and briefly market your business

Meeting Dates: BNYP Monthly Membership Meetings occur the last Tuesday of hte month from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.

Raffle Sponsor Provides a complimentary gift card, prize or prize basket to be raffled off

Requirements:

Provide a complimentary gift card, prize or prize basket to be raffled off as a door prize at our membership meetings
It is suggested that the prize be valued at a minimum of $50.
Prize must be delivered to our membership meeting location or arrangements should be made to deliver to a Board member in advance if you cannot attend the meeting.

Logo placed in the Weekly Wednesday Update for 2-3 weeks prior to the meeting
Logo placed on meeting agenda which is printed and handed out to all members attending
Logo placed on Facebook once to promote our Meeting Location Sponsor
A representative from your company is welcome to speak to our group for up to 3 minutes at the beginning of our meeting to introduce the prize, draw the winner and market your business

Please note: Only one raffle sponsor per meeting. Opportunities are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The BNYP Board will vote one month prior to each application received.
